Scripture Milestone Map
Sometimes the totality of Scripture can be a blur.
There are gaps that stop us from navigating from story to story.
How do we get from Abraham, to Moses, to David?
This Scripture roadmap is a great resource to reduce those gaps and challenge yourself to be familiar with the main flow of Scripture.
It lists the key events of Scripture kind of like stepping stones across a river.
At bare-minimum, if you understand these milestones you can generally navigate your way.
Not every narrative in Scripture is on this roadmap, but you’ll never be far from one of the milestones listed.
If you know where the story you are reading about falls on this map, you will know the general context before and after.
Take the Conquering of Jericho for example in Joshua 6…
It is one of many stories not listed on this map.
However, it falls right about here:
Which means, we know that it happened after the Exodus and 10 commandments, and before King David.
More specifically, it happened right after the Israelites were commanded to cross into the Jordan and conquer the land, and right before the downward spiral of Judges as a result of not fully obeying the command to conquer the land (key contexts to know for understanding the story of Jericho in Joshua 6).
We hope it helps!
